Akiba Rubinstein (0.12.1880-1961), a Polish chess Grandmaster who is considered to have been one of the strongest players who won everything but never to have become World Chess Champion.

CHESS EVENTS

1951 The World Championship Match opened in Moscow between M. Mikhail Botvinnik and David Bronstein. According to FIDE regulations, the match for the Championship title consisted of 24 games. In case of a draw 12-12, the Champion retained his title.
2014 In Yerevan, Alexander Motylev (RUS) won his second European Individual Champion title.
