Diez Del Corral Jesús Maria (06.04.1933 – 19.02.2010)

diez-del-corralSpanish Grandmaster (1974), Spanish Champion in 1955 and 1965, he was the second Spanish player to become Grandmaster after Arturo Pomar. Diez Del Corral was an accountant by profession and regularly wrote articles and composed studies. He could certainly have developed his talents if he could have given more time to the game of chess.

Best results: 2nd at Amsterdam Masters 1969, 2nd at Olot 1972, 6th  at Palma de Majorca and equal third at Montilla 1973. He played for Spain in seven Olympiads.
