Visserman, Eelje (20.01.1922 – 23.03.1978)
Dutch International Grandmaster for Chess Composition in 1972 and International Judge of Chess Composition in 1958.
A building engineer by profession, he worked as a civil servant in the Ministry of Housing and Building.
In the period 1957-70, he was the editor of the Dutch problem magazine Probleemblad.
Author of articles on the question of composition. Since 1938, he published about 800 problems, preferably two- and three-movers. He was awarded with 230 prizes at the various competitions.
An anthology of his problems was published after his death: “Schaakproblemen van E. Visserman” by Albertus Marinus Koldijk, 1986.
