Verlinsky, Boris (08.01.1888 – 30.10.1950)
Soviet chess player born in Ukraine and International Master (1950). Champion of Ukraine in 1926. Champion of Moscow in 1928. Verlinsky was a deaf mute.
Five times he participated in the USSR championships, the best result being the first place in 1929some victories over the world Champions José Raul Capablanca and Efim Bogoljubov in 1925.
Best results: Odessa 1911, 1st; Petrograd 1923, 1-2nd; Moscow championship 1924, 2nd; Leningrad 1925, 4th; Odessa, 1926, 1st.
