Soviet chess player born in Minsk, International Master (1950). Chess theorist, author of an opening named after him – 1. d4 d5 2. Nc3.

Veresov was the Champion of Belarus in 1939, 1941 and 1958.

In 1937, won a match vs Panov 9-7.
