Vajda, Dr. Arpad (02.05.1896 – 25.10.1967)
Hungarian International Master (1950) and International Arbiter. Lawyer. Champion of Hungary in 1928.
A member of the Hungarian team which won twice the Olympiads in 1927 and 1928, he was also a silver medalist in 1930 and 1937.
Best results: won London 1922, Ramsgate B 1929, Solnok 1932 and was fourth in Vienna in 1931, in Paris in 1924 and in Budapest in 1929.
For 20 years, he was an editorial member of the Hungarian chess magazine Magyar Skkelet.
