Russian Grandmaster (1991). Soviet Junior Champion in 1988. Silver medalist in the World Junior 1991 and bronze medalist in the World Junior in 1989. Won or shared first in Santa Clara 1991, Bayamo 1991, Las Palmas 1992, Cheliabinsk 1993, Stockholm Rilton 1999, Isle of Man 2001, Abu Dhabi Open 2002, Biel II 2003, Predeal Open 2006, Biel Open 2007. Has participated in the 1994 Olympiad as a member of the second Russian Team. Best ELO: 2589 in 2002.
