German Grandmaster (1990). Journalist and coach. East German Champion in 1987 and 1990. Many times East German Youth Champion. Coach of the Women’s German Team. He participated in the 1990 Olympiad as a member of the GDR Team. Kecskemet 1983, Budapest 1983, Calimanesti 1984 and 1985, Rostok 1984, Halle 1987. Chief editor of Schach Magazine since 1991 and owner since 2000. He wrote Attack 2 (1991), Sternstunden des Schachs[U1] . 30 x Olympia London 1927 – Manila 1992 [U2](1992), SK Turnier München [U3] in 1994. Best ELO: 2544 in 1999.
