Icelandic Grandmaster (2007). World U12 Champion in 1987. Icelandic Champion in 1990, 2011 and 2015, vice-champion of Iceland in 2006, 2016 and  2017. FIDE Trainer (2008).

Best results: Mlada Poleslav GM (CZE) 2007, 1^st; Porto Mannu Open (ITA) 2007, 1^st-2^nd; Kaupthing Open 2007, 2^nd-5^th; Reykjavik Open 2009, 1^st-4^th.

A member of the Icelandic Team in the 1990 Olympiad (at the age of 15) then since 2008.
