Best results: won or shared first in Polanica Zdroj in 1971, Varna in 1974, Wroclav in 1980, Varna in 1983 and 1984. Was second in Skopje 1984, Opatija 1985 et Elancourt in 2003.
A participant in the 1964 Olympiad and in four European Team Championships from where, in 1965, he was awarded an individual gold for the best results at board two.
