SPECKMANN Werner (21.08.1913 – 23.02.2001)
German chess composer, International Master 1967, International Judge 1959 in Chess Compositions.He was the main editor of the chess magazine Schwalbe 1959-82 and the editor of the composition column of the Deutsche Schachzeitung.
Author of books devoted to the chess miniatures, beginning with three pieces. Since 1929, he published about 1000 problems, mostly miniatures.
