Won or first equal in Tashkent and Barnaul 1984, Naleczow 1985, Dresden 1985, Capelle le Grande 1986, second in Tallinn 1986, Novi Sad 1986, Trnava 1987, Zenica 1987, Karvina 1987, Sochi 1987, Berlin 1988, Sibenik 1988, Dortmund Open 1989, Prilep 1992 and Montreal 2000. Also 3th-6th at the 1986 USSR championship. Mostly retired from chess, he plays from time to time some Bundesliga games in Germany. Best ELO: 2613 in 2001.
