Russian Grandmaster (1992), former coach of Sergey Rublevsky and Alisa Galliamova; also Maxim Sorokin, Mikhail Ulybin, Alexander Volzhin, Svetlana Prudnikova, Sergey Volkov, Kateryna Lahno and the Russian team in the Soviet Youth Team Championship. Won or shared first at Volgograd – champion of the USSR among students in 1986, Champion of Russia U20 in 1987, Nizhny Novgorod Cup of Russia 1988, Russian Republic championship 1990, Taby Open 1990, Bled Open 1991, Helsinki 1992, 1992-93 Hastings II, Akmola (KAZ) 1996, Decin and Polanica Zjdroj 1996, Novgorod 1997, St. Petersburg 1998, Tula 1999 and Pardubice 1999. Author of : The Triangle System: Challenging White in the Semi-Slav (2011) and many theoretical articles for New in Chess. Inactive for many years. Best ELO: 2580 in 1993.
