Schmidt Włodzimierz (10.04.1943)

Polish Grandmaster (1976). FIDE Senior Trainer (2004). Polish Champion in 1971, 1974, 1975, 1981 (joint), 1988 and 1993. In all, he played 28 national championships. Youth Champion in 1959 and 1960. Polish First Grandmaster.

Best results: won or shared first in Lublin 1970, Polanica Zdroj 1973 and 1981, Malmö 1976, Bagneux 1980, Smederevo 1981, Vinkovci and Budapest 1986 and Dortmund Open 1989. He was second in Wijk aan Zee 1975, Halle 1976 and Kiel 1979.

Schmidt took part in 13 Olympiads between 1962 and 1990.
