Rogers Ian (24.06.1960)

The first Australian Grandmaster (1985). Journalist, he shares his residence between Australia and Holland. Graduated in meteorology from the University of Melbourne. Four times Australian Champion (1980, 1986, 1998 and 2006), NZL Champion in 1997 and 1999.

Rogers was a participant in 13 Olympiads.

His wife Cathy is a well- known photographer, journalist, and WFM titled. Due to health concerns, he retired from chess in 2007.
