Israeli Grandmaster (2007) born in Russia and living in Czech Republic. World U18 Champion. Israeli Champion 2006 and Vice Champion in 2008. Israeli U10, U14 and U20 Champion.
Rodshtein is married to Czech WGM Tereza Olsarova.

Since 2007, Maxim is a member of the Israeli national. He was awarded a team silver medal at the 2008 Olympiad and a team bronze medal at the 2010 Olympiad. A participant in the 2007, 2011, 2017 and 2017 World Cups.

After working few months with Levon Aronian in 2009, he was a full member of Boris Gelfand’s team until 2012.
