Rahman Ziaur (1974)

Bangladesh second Grandmaster (2002). He graduated from the Government Laboratory High School and the University of Dhaka. Thirteen times winner of the national championship since 1986 (1986, 1987, 1988, 1994, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2009). Winner also of the Zonal 3.2 championship in 2011. A participant in twelve Olympiads since 1986, he is currently living in Malaysia. Best ELO: 2570 (2005), he holds the highest FIDE rating ever achieved by a Bangladesh chess player.
