Serbian Grandmaster (2006). Best results: Vojvodina championship 2003, 1^st; Subotica Open 2003, 1^st; Bizovac (CRO) 2008, 1^st; Belisce-Metalis Open 2008, 1^st; Pula Open 2011, 1-4^th; Amsterdam Science Park Open 2011, 1-5^th.

A member of the Olympic Team at the 2006 Olympiad.

In 2008 he was urged to undergo surgery when both his kidneys stopped functioning.

Dusan is the son of the Grandmaster Petar Popović. Best ELO: 2569 in 2011.
