U.S. Grandmaster (1978) born in Ukraine. Senior Trainer FIDE (2009). Coach. A member of the Soviet team at the World Student Team Championships in 1974 and 1976 where he won team and individual gold medals.

Best results: Rimavska-Sobota 1977, 1^st; Plovdiv 1978, 3^rd; Kiev 1978, 2^nd-4^th; Gradetz-Cralove 1980, 3^rd; Tallinn 1986, 3^rd; Trnava 1987, 2^nd-3^rd; Hradec Kralove and Calicut 1988, 1^st; World Open 1992, 1^st. Coach of the U.S. team 1999-2000.
