Susanna (Sonja) Graf (16.12.1908-1965) a German Master who lived in the USA and was women’s world vice-champion and two-time U.S. women’s champion.
Ludek Pachman (11.05.1924-2003), a Czechoslovak-German Grandmaster involved in national politic. He was Czechoslovak and West German Champion.

1962 After a considerable delay, due to the fact that W. Uhlmann (GDR) could not obtain a visa for entry into the NATO countries, the Interzonal Tournament was organized in Stockholm under the direct sponsorship of FIDE. R. Fischer USA won this 6th Interzonal Tournament with 17½/22.
1984 I. Levitina (USSR) won the Women’s Candidates’ final match in Sochi, after beating L. Semenova (USSR) 7-5.
