Pastor Rivas (1960), a Spanish Grandmaster, he was Spanish Champion in 1978, 1979, 1981 and 1991.
Evgeny Prokopchuk (1978), a Russian Grandmaster.
Duc Hoa Nguyen, a Vietnamese Grandmaster.
Alexander Bagrationi, (1990), a Ukrainian Grandmaster.

CHESS EVENTS

1930. The 3rd Olympiad opened in Hamburg, Germany with 18 national teams. There had never been so many Grandmasters gathered together in one place. It included also the World Champion Alexander Alekhine who played for France for the first time.
1972 The clock was started for the second game, but Fischer was not on the board. Fox quickly agreed that the cameras be removed for at least for that game. Fischer agreed to play provided his clock was reset to zero. The arbiter L. Schmid refused and forfeited the Challenger after one hour.
2004 In Tripoli, Rustam Kasimdzhanov of Uzbekistan beat Michael Adams of England in the first tie-break game and drew game 2 to win the World Championship Final Match.
