Samuel Boden, (04.04.1826-1882), English player, author of ‘A Popular Introduction to the study and Practice of Chess’. He died in London of scarlet fever.
Anthony Santasiere, (09.12.1904-1977), an American player, famous for Santasiere’s Folly (1 Nf3 then 2 b4) who won the U.S. Open in 1945.
