Svetozar Gligoric (1923 14.08 2012). Serbian Grandmaster, the best player in Yugoslavia for decades who won the Yugoslavian championship 12 times.
Hans Werner Von  Massow, German players one of the founders of the correspondence chess associations IFSB and ICCF.

CHESS EVENTS

1937 In Stockholm, in front of the FIDE GA, the World Champion Max Euwe declared that if he won his match with Alexander Alekhine, he would accept the challenge in 1940 from the FIDE Candidate Salo Flohr. The President thanked the World Champion for his generous proposal and confirmed that if Alexander Alekhine won the match, he would be invited to play under the FIDE regulations with Salo Flohr. “If the World Champion renounces his title, then the title will belong to FIDE. From now on, any match for the world title will be organized under FIDE auspices”.
1937 The US team with four ‘Grandmasters’ won the Olympiad with 54½ points out of 72.
1966 The team of USSR won the 13th World Student Team Championship in Orebro, Sweden.
1971 Werner Hug of Switzerland won the 11th World Junior Championship in Athens, Greece.
1990 G. Hernandez MEX won the 15th Pan-American Junior Championship.
