CHESS EVENTS

1937 Vera Menchik (CSR) overwhelmed her rivals to win  the Women’s World Championship for the 7th time during the Olympiad with 14/14!
2014 Judith Polgar (HUN), the best female player of the chess history, announced her retirement from competitive chess.
