CHESS EVENTS<br />
1967. Monaco. Despite a lost to Efim Geller, Robert Fischer won convincingly the International Tournament of Monaco. The tournament which had a lot of success at the beginning of the 20 century was resuscitated after a disappearance of more than 60 years.<br />
2014 In Khanty-Mansiysk Russia, the former World Chess Champion Viswanathan Anand won the Candidate Tournament. Anand took control of the tournament with early wins against Levon Aronian and Shakhriyar Mamedyarov then following an additional win against Veselin Topalov remained in control of the event to the end.<br /><br />
