Mikhalchishin Adrian Bogdanovich (18.11.1954)

mihalshinish-smlUkainian-Slovenian Grandmaster (1978)and author born in Lviv, Ukraine. FIDE Senior Trainer (2004) and ECU Board Member (2014). Graduated in physics. Soviet Junior Champion in 1977 and Slovenian Champion in 2002. Student of the famous Lviv trainer Victor Kart.

FIDE Trainer Commission chairman (2009-2018). He received the Euwe award for the best junior trainer in 2010 and 2011 and Bolevslavsky award for the best educational chess book.

A member of the USSR team which won the 1977 and 1980 World U26 championships. A member of European Club winner team TRUD in 1984. A participant in 1992 (with Ukraine), 2000, 2002 and 2004 Olympiads for Slovenia.

Coach of the Soviet national team in 1989 which won the European and World Championships, a member of Anatoly Karpov’s teams from 1980 till 1996.
Trainer of the Polish national team between 1998 and 2001, Slovenia between 1998 and 2004 and Netherlands national team between 2004 and 2007. He is currently working as a coach for the Turkish Chess Federation.
