Serbian Grandmaster (1965). Yugoslavian Champion in 1965 and 1967.
Best results: won or shared first place in 32 international tournaments, among them: Natanya 1961, Belgrade 1963, Tel Aviv 1964, Sarajevo, and Belgrade 1965, Havana 1966, Reggio Emilia 1968, Athens, Skopje and Belgrade 1969, Siegen 1970, Sarajevo 1971, Zagreb 1973, Belgrade 1977, Wiesbaden 1985, Vrnajcka Banja 1986 and 1990.
A participant in the match USSR-Rest of the World in 1970 and in the Olympiads from 1955 until 1990 where he was awarded a silver medal in 1964 for the best board performance and one silver and three bronze medals for the team performance in 1964, 1968, 1970 and 1972. Also was awarded three silver team medals at the European Championships of 1961, 1965 and 1973.
Peak rating: 2525 in 1978, he was the twelfth world ranked in 1970.
