Marin Y Llovet Valentine (17.01.1872 – 07.12.1936)

Marin-Y-Llovet-ValentineSpanish composer and player. He composed problems of three or four-movers (about 300 compositions published). He was awarded with 150 merits, including 100 prizes. A follower of the Old German School from where he created his own style.

Marin was well known for his difficult problems, containing waiting moves and multi sacrifices. He created the task BATTERIE MARIN.

As a classical chess player, he represented his country many times in the Olympiads.
