Macieja Bartlomiej (04.10.1977)

Polish Grandmaster (1999). Started to play chess at the age of seven. Graduated in physics. European Champion 2002, Polish Champion in 2004 and 2009. Vice champion of Poland in 1998 and 2002. Bronze medalist in the World U14 in 1991, Polish U18 Champion in 1994. Married he is now living in Mexico.

In a rapid match, he beat Judith Polgar 5-3 in 2003.

Macieja is a participant in the Olympiads between 1998 and 2012.
A participant also in the World Chess Championships 1999 and 2001.

The author of The Enigma of Kieseritzk. Style: Karpov’s style, position and very dangerous in ending, with good opening preparation.
