Best results: 1968-69 USSR championship, 3^rd; Dubna 1971, 1^st; Leipzig 1973, 1^st; Albena 1976, 1^st;Wijk aan Zee 1971 2^nd behind Boris Spassky. A member of the Soviet Student Team in the World Championship of 1956
