Lindner László (23.12.1916 – 21.08.2004)

Hungarian chess composer. International Master for Chess Compositions 1985 and International Judge for Chess Compositions 1956. Journalist and Lawyer. Arrested by the German and sent in a concentration camp in Bor in 1944, he was always telling people that chess games save his life as well the life of his friend Tibor Florian.

One of the founders of the Permanent Commission of the FIDE for Chess Compositions.

Since 1930, has published 740 problems of various genres, 102 of which were awarded prizes.
