Norwegian Grandmaster (2005). Norwegian U16 champion in 1994. Norwegian Champion 2009 and 2010.

Best results: Won or shared first at the Norwegian U18 championship 1998, Norwegian Open in 2000, Troll Masters 2002, Gausdal Master 2002, Norwegian Open 2006, Gausdal Bygger 2006. Lie was second of Magnus Carlsen in the World Candidates and in World Cup in 2007.

A participant in the Olympiads between 2000 and 2008.
