Chilean International Master (1960). Best Chilean player of the 1960s and 1970s. Five times Chilean Champion in 1957, 1957, 1960,1964 and 1972/73.

Best results: Buenos Aires 1946, 1-2^nd; Montevideo 1954, 1^st; Grau Memorial (ARG), 2^nd; Mar-del-Plata 1959, 1961, 5^th and 6^th; Asuncion 1960, 4^th.

A participant in seven Olympiads from 1939 to 1974.
