Laws Benjamin Glover (06.02.1861 – 29.01.1931)

English composer. One of the founders of the English School.

He was the editor of the Chess Monthly from 1888-1898, then a columnist for the British Chess Magazine.

Author of about a thousand chess problems of all kinds. He wrote many books including: The Two Move Chess Problem in 1890 and Chess problem and how to solve them and the artistry of the chess problemin 1923.

He was the President of the BCPS from 1918 to 1931.
