Russian International Master (1986) and World Champion for Blind players in 1976, 1982, and 2004. World vice champion in 2003, European Champion in 1995 and in 2003 and multiple Russian Blind Champion.

A particpant in eight Olympiads since 1994, many at the first board of the IBCA team.

Best ELO: 2407 in 2004.
