Polish Grandmaster (1989) born in Russia. Graduated in in Applied Mathematics in 1985, he moved to Poland in 1992. Polish Champion in 2000 and 2002. Blitz Champion of Poland in 1999 and 2001.

The author of Open Spanish (1995) and Sicilian Sveshnikov (1996). Since 2006 he has been a member of the programming team that made the chess software, Rybka, which is one of the leaders of the market.
Peak rating: 2702 in 2000, he was then a member of the ten best players in the world.
