KempinskiPolish Grandmaster. Kempinski started playing chess when he was nine years old. Polish Champion 1997 and 2001. Polish U12 and U20 Champion, European U16 Champion 1993, European U18 Champion 1994 and 1995 and the World U18 Champion in 1995.

His major victories were at Zan (CZE) and Lippstatt in 1994, as well as in many Opens. Other results: Bad Zwestener Open 2004, 1-2nd; Hamburg Junge Open 2005, 1st; Polanica 2001, 2nd; Linares Open 2001, 4th; Polish championship 2004 and 2005, 3rd; Neckar-Open 2005, 1-3rd; Rubinstein Memorial (POL) 2006, 1-3rd; Benidorm Open 2009, 1st; Ikaros Chess Festival 2009, 1st.

A participant in all the Olympiads between 1996 and 2006. At the 1999 European Team Championship he won a silver medal for the second best performance at the fourth board. He was also a participant in the 2004 World Championship and in the 2005 World Cup.
