Kazic Bozhidar (02.02.1921-07.05.1996)
Yugoslavian chess player, International Arbiter, author and journalist. Kazic has been the Chairman of the Rules of Chess Commission between 1978 and 1994, Zonal President between 1978 and 1982 and he is an Honored Member of FIDE since 1975. He was the General Secretary of the Yugoslavian Chess Union for the periods 1951-1964 and 1971-1976, and the National Master in Correspondence Chess 1955 after winner the Yugoslavian championship 1953-1954.
Kazic was the Chief Arbiter in more than 40 major chess tournaments and matches: the Century Match USSR vs. Rest of the World 1970, the Bobby Fischer vs. Mark Taimanov Candidates Match 1971, the Chess Olympiad of 1984 and other challengers’ matches. He was also one of the organizers of the match USSR vs. Yugoslavia in 1956 and the Interzonal in Portoroz 1958.
