U.S. International Master (1967) born in Argentina but played nearly all his chess career under the banner of Puerto Rico. Kaplan graduated in Mathematics and was a computer programmer. World Junior Champion in 1967.
Best results: winner of Carroll Capps Memorial 1971. A participant in the Olympiads in 1966, 1968, 1970 and 1972.
