Polish Grandmaster (1996). World U14 Champion in 1991, World U12 Champion in 1989. Kaminski was European Junior silver medalist in 1993 and many times Polish Youth Champion. He is a former student of Dallas University, Texas USA.
As a participant in few Olympiads and European Team Championships, he won two Olympic bronze medals, on sixth board in 1994 and on fifth board in 1998.
Best results: winner at Katowice Open 1995, Lazne Bohdanec 1996, Koszalin 1997 and the Ken Smith Memorial Dallas 2001 and 2002. Retired from international chess since 2005.
Apart from his chess life, he has been practicing for many years in the martial arts of Kyokyushin, Tai Chi and Kung-Fu.
