Hyde Thomas (29.06.1634 – 18.02.1701)

Hyde-Thomas English Academic and language professor. Author of De Ludis Orientalibus in 1694. He was the first person to establish beyond doubt that chess originated in India. Author of Mandragoria seu Historia Shahiludii (1694).
