MATHEMATICS

Math and chess are interdependent but according to studies, their ways of thinking are nearly similar, and mathematician abilities are often conjoining with chess. The chess masters Em. Lasker and Euwe were math teachers, but there are some distinctions: the decision of a mathematic task demands precision of research, and in chess, there is a searching of approximately the best move or series of moves. Chess board, chessmen and the game itself are used for the illustration of math notions and tasks.Recreational math (games, math puzzles, twisters) is another allied part of math and chess; some chess problems demand deep calculation or mathematic research. A mathematic approach is used as well for the decision of some organisational chess problems (for example, mathematic conditions are in the base of the calculation of an individual coefficient).
