Bulgarian Grandmaster (2003), graduated from University National Sports Academy with the diploma of Chess trainer. FIDE Trainer (2005). Twice Champion of Bulgaria in 1993 and 1999.

A participant in the 2002 Olympiad and in two European Team Championships in 1999 and 2003.

Petar is married to WIM Lyubka Genova who was Bulgarian Women champion in 2005.
