Fleck Ferenz (17.02.1908 – 25.02.1994)

Fleck-FerenzHungarian chess composer, International Grandmaster for Composition (1977) and International Judge in Chess Compositions 1956.  Fleck was the author of the two-move problem, which was named after him.  Since 1927 he published about 1600 problems, mostly two and three-movers, and problems for cooperative mates.  Fleck was awarded with 870 distinctions, including 118 first prizes, and he was also the Champion of Hungary five times in two-movers.  He proposed the idea of the plural threats, which was named in his honor: Fleck Theme.
