efimenko-2015Ukrainian Grandmaster (2002). Ukrainian Champion 2006. World U14 Champion in 1999. Vice Ukrainian Champion in 2003, 2005 and 2015. Bronze medallist at the World U14 in 1998.

Best results: won or shared first at Governor’s CUP (UKR) 2001, Stork YM 2001, Pyramiden Franken Cup (EGY) 2002, Hastings Challenger 2004, Montreal International 2004, Gibraltar Open 2005, 1-6th at Isle of Man Open 2007, 1-2ndBosna International tournament 2010.

In matches, he lost to Nigel Short 2½-3½ in 2009 and to Arkadij Naiditsch 2½-3½ in 2010.

A member of the national team which won the gold at the 2010 Olympiad. At the same competition, he was awarded a silver medal for the second best performance aon board four.
