Jozsef Szily (1913-26.04.1976), Hungarian International Master and International Arbiter.
Antonio Medina Garcia (1919-31.10.2003), Spanish International Master who was seven times Spanish Champion.
Jonathan Speelman (1956), English Grandmaster, columnist, and writer who won three British championships.
Vlastimil Babula (1973) was born, Czech Grandmaster  who was Czech Champion in 1993 and second at the World Junior Championship of 1993.
Salvador Del Rio De Angelis (1976) Spanish Grandmaster born in Argentina who won the Spanish rapid chess championship in 2006.
Vitaly Kunin (1983), was German Grandmaster born in Russia.
Ruan, Lufei (1987), Chinese Woman Grandmaster who was the Women’s World Championship runner-up in 2010.

DEATHS

Karel Treybal ( 02.02.1885-1941), one of the best Czech Masters before WWII. Treybal died during the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia.
Andrija Fuderer (13.05. 1931-2011), Croatian–Belgian Honorary Grandmaster who had a PHD in chemistry.
