Ramon Rey Ardid (1903-21.01.1988),  a Spanish Master who was one of the last players to play Alexander Alekhine, in 1944 Rey Ardid lost a match to Alexander Alekhine (+0 –1 =3).
Joseph Ney Babson (1852-1929), an American chess composer famous for the creation of the Babson task problem.
Alexei Kornev (1976), a Russian Grandmaster.
David Klein, (1993), a Dutch Grandmaster.

DEATH

Albin Planinc (Planinec) (18.04.1944-2008), a Slovenian Grandmaster who was twice Slovenian Champion. died in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
