Alexander Beliavsky (1953), Slovenian-Ukrainian Grandmaster, a trainer, and writer who won the World Junior Chess Championship in 1973 and the USSR Chess Championship four times in 1974, 1980, 1987 and 1990.
William Winter (11.09.1898-1955), a British Master and writer who won the British Chess Championship in 1935 and 1936.
Carlos Matamoros (1966), an Ecuadorian Grandmaster living in Spain. He got an individual gold at the 1982 Olympiad.
Alexander Zubarev (1979), Ukrainian Grandmaster.
