Dao Thien Hai (10.05.1978)

Vietnamese Grandmaster (1996). He is the first Vietnamese player to be awarded the title of Grandmaster.Five times Vietnamese Champion, World U16 Champion in 1993. Silver medallist (Rapid Chess) at the 2006 Asian Games and at the Mind Sport Games in 2008.

Best results: won or shared first at Munster Open 1993 and 1994, Budapest FS 1996, Qindao Cup 1999, Zonal 3.2 in 2000, Philippine Equitable Card Invitational 2000,  Dato Tan Open 2006, Danang IM 2008.

A player of the national team since the 1994 Olympiad.
