Swiss International Master (1952). Swiss Champion in 1942 (joint),1943, 1945, 1948 and 1952. Senior Correspondence International Master.

Best results: Hasting 1945/46, 9^th. Swiss Senior Championship, 1st in 1990, 1991, 1992, and 1994.

He was also the president of the Swiss chess federation between 1987 and 1991.
